The Albers remodel project began with a site meeting at their family beach house. It was old and contained substantial structural defects. Their desire , however, was for a full time residence where they could spend their retired years entertaining both family and friends. The result you see here contains elements of the original cabin on the right end with the balance being new construction. The Grand Piano Island is Jim?s original idea. The shape began to develop during early design of the kitchen and the owners liked the idea so it was detailed following a visit to a local  piano retailer.
